You need to accept the fact that astral projection will work. It is something that happens to everyone, you are just not aware of it. Have you awakened from a dream still fresh in your mind, which seems as though you really lived the experience? These dreams are an actual experience of astral projection.

The key to success in astral projection is to believe you can do it. Any doubts or fears you have will only hold you back and make it harder for you to astral project.

Learn some good meditation and relaxation techniques; these will make it easier for you to astral project. Meditation will get your mind and body ready for the experience of astral projection. Start practicing relaxation and meditation routines you like to get prepared.

Find a quite place to relax, a comfortable chair or lie down, making sure you will not be interrupted. Clear your mind of all thoughts, picture a blank screen. Pay attention to your breathing, take slow deep breathes. Imagine all your troubles leaving your body when you breathe out. This will put you in a deeply relaxed state that will enable you to astral project.

You now need to go deeper into a state of altered consciousness. Just think about your breathing as you are now without worry or stress. Your mind is clear, you are taking deep breathes. Focus on breathing in through the nose and letting the airflow out through your mouth. You are breathing slower and deeper and getting more relaxed, now focus on relaxing your body.

Start with your toes, as they are the most remote part of your body. There are two ways to do this. You can simply tell each part of your body to relax or tense the muscles up first and then relax each part. Tell each part of your body to relax as you move up. Use the method that you are most comfortable with.

You will begin to feel heavy, as if all your energy and stress is going away as you relax each part of your body. You will notice when this happens. Once this occurs in your entire body, you are ready to move on to the next step in astral projection.

You will want to go to sleep by now, but do not do that. Find a way to stay alert. Try repeating a command as some experts recommend such as 'Im flying, Im flying.' It does not matter what it is, just something to keep you alert enough to avoid falling asleep.

Your mind may want to drift off and cause thoughts to start flowing through it. You do not want this to happen. You need to keep your focus on a phrase to keep these thoughts out. You will have to end the session and start over if you lose your focus.

To reach the state of altered consciousness you can use the phrase you chose or another way. The body of light method involves picturing an area of light that you will change into. Picture the light in your mind and imagine yourself going into it and becoming a part of it.

There are three feelings you are going to experience that will help you know that your astral body is going. First you are going to feel as though you are moving, then you are going to see lights and colors in front of your eyes (remember that your eyes are closed) this is simply the astral body moving into the astral world. Finally, you will hear voices that are going to be telling you to either stop what you are doing or encouraging you to continue. The idea is that when you focus your mind on something, it attracts it to you. You don't even have to be expending mental energy on this goal consciously in order for this effect to work.

The Stressful Challenge Of Finding Stress Relief Alternatives

I know I'm not the only woman who's finding stress relief quite a task to undertake! Life has been so incredibly hectic that finding time to relax is often a case of checking the diary and booking an appointment with my bed three weeks on Thursday. Just lately I've become aware of the need to take more care of my welfare, and I've been looking into stress relief alternatives for women.

I know that my days have been full and busy, but I never really took the time to appreciate the diverse range of methods available to help unwind and let the cares of the day fall like blossom in a gentle breeze. My blossom just seems to have just taken a shortcut straight to the compost heap lately. But there are actually several highly recommended stress relief therapies.

For me the first thing I tried was yoga, since I'd been walking past a poster advertising yoga classes for ages. Like many people I thought yoga was just about tying your legs in knots while trying to stand on your head, but it was actually very straightforward to get started, and as well as offering a way to relax mentally there are many physical health benefits to yoga too.

In a similar stress relief category to yoga is meditation, though with slightly less limb tying involved. There are so many forms of meditation that it can be a little difficult just choosing which to try, but this is largely a matter of personal preference. I bought a meditation CD which played soothing music whilst a sonorous voice instructed me to focus on various parts of my body. It was very relaxing - in fact, I fell asleep.

A lot of women swear by physical exercise. Personally I just tend to swear at physical exercise. But my understanding is that those women who regularly undertake some form of exercise such as running, cycling or step aerobics find that it helps them unwind. It may not be relaxing, but stress relief isn't necessarily the same as being relaxed.

The next item on my list certainly focussed on the relief half of stress relief. Women's toys are now so varied and ingenious that they seem to be able to cater for bits of me even I didn't know existed. I had a browse through an online store, my responses varying from disbelief to confusion to sheer rampant fascination. I spent more time exploring this method of stress relief than physical exercise, although as it did make me a little out of breath, it must have burnt up at least a few calories.

Although I had relaxing music next on my list, this is really something I have been edging towards like many people, with my portable MP3 player and favourite songs. However, most of the songs on my playlist weren't really very relaxing, and so I created a playlist of specially selected, deeply relaxing music. Convenient enough to take anywhere, it's even great to take to work for those moments when the boss is in a meeting.

Finally, the one method of stress relief I seem to find hardest of all - finding the time for plenty of rest. Just recently I have had almost no time for rest because I've been too busy researching the various stress relief alternatives, but along with eating healthily, getting plenty of sleep and organising 'me' time, there are certainly several alternatives available - it's just finding the time to try them out. - 16890
