By Tyler J L Neill

The world has become a much smaller place, thanks to the internet and cell phones. Carrying a cell phone means that you can be in contact with anyone at anytime. Is this a good thing? Well, it has its advantages and disadvantages. Cell phones are a good way to keep in touch with friends and family, but they have a habit of going off at certain times, like when your sleeping, eating, showering etc.

Sometimes, the cell phone ringing annoys us, as it just seems to ring at the most awkward of times. If we are at the cinema, at a wedding we seem to always forget to switch the cell phone off, and at times like this, its most likely to ring. Sometimes, people seem to forget as to what time it is, and they will call you at al hours, waking you up from your sleep, only to find out it is something that could have waited till morning. Its times like this the cell phone is a nusicance.

Cell phones are everywhere. Just walk down your local main street and you will see many people talking on them. They have become part of everday life. We use them for contacting friends and family, we use them for ordering pizzas, we have just grown so use to them that they are part of our everyday life and we cannot do without them now. No matter where you are now in the world, you can be contacted on your cell phone.

Why did we buy a cell phone? So we could be contacted, and we could contact others. But as good as cell phones are, they can also cause us embarrising moments also. If your at a funeral, or a wedding, or even a business meeting for example, these are times when we seem to forget to turn the phone off, and this leads to others getting annoyed with you, so in these situations it is always best to turn your phone off, or put it on silent, as you never know the moment your phone is going to ring.

When traveling and if you are on-board an aircraft, you will be required to turn off your phone. This is because electronics devices may interfere with the aircrafts avionics. Thus, it is a requirement to turn of your phone for safety reasons. However, for extremely long flights, airline companies allow cell phone usage at a certain time, if you really need to make a phone call, use this time allotted if necessary.

When i am at church, every week without fail someones phone will ring. It is very annoying, especially when the minister is speaking, and it just upsets the whole balance of things. In a place of worship, a cell phone should always be switched off. No matter how many times it happens in church, the following week, the same thing happens again, and its not uncommon for 3 or 4 people in the congregation's phones to go off during the service in church.

Cell phone have become to be a necessity nowadays, that is why most people use it and cell phone manufacturers have continuously develop different usage and functions for this very small gadget. Be globally competitive, but you should understand that being rude is not part of modernity. Follow certain degree of etiquette; this will be very helpful to you and your business. - 16890
