How to Start a Business Opportunities in Nigeria

By Francisco Rodriguez

With the US economy slipping into recession, many people are rightly worried about losing their jobs and even their houses. It begs the question: are there any recession proof business opportunities in Nigeria out there? The answer, as you'll see, is yes, there definitely are some areas that are not affected by the shrinking economy. One impressive sector is communications. Specifically, wireless communications. The growth of the cell phone industry continues at a pace, unaffected by the recession. Not only are more people using cell phones (in the US and worldwide), they're upgrading and changing phones more often.

You can be a telemarketer to earn multiple streams of internet income. At first, you may not like the idea of being a telemarketer, but it can be a very lucrative job. You are probably aware that telemarketers are the people who call you at home, usually during dinner and try to sell you a product you don't want. However, if telemarketing wasn't an effective way to sell products, the process wouldn't have lasted all of these years. There are a lot of people who will listen to what you have to say and even purchase whatever it is you are selling. That's why you'll have a different opinion about telemarketers once you actually do the job.

The other reason health care is a great recession proof business field has to do with demographics. The US population is aging. The fastest growing segment is centenarians (those 100 years old and older). Add the fact that the Baby Boomer generation will soon be retiring, and you have the recipe for a great business opportunity during any kind of economy.

Then there's the entire debt industry. Sadly, this field is not only recession proof - it tends to prosper during economic downturns as people borrow more and more to stay afloat. Business opportunities include debt relief counseling programs and information products detailing ways to reduce debt.

Online business opportunities in the sales field don't have to be phone jobs though. You could try affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing means you have an affiliate link from a company and anytime someone purchases a product by clicking your link you make money. The wonderful thing about affiliate marketing is that it's working for you 24 hours per day.

Sales isn't as scary as some people think. You do have to be able to handle rejection, but the ones who buy something from you will make up for it. If you think about it all you do in sales is ask a question. The potential customer either answers yes or no. There is a lot of money to be made in the sales field, whether you take advantage of these online business opportunities or not is up to you. However, you shouldn't let a fear of a job you have never tried stop you. You may be surprised at what a great sales person you can be. - 16890
