How To Get A Better Mobile Phone Deal

By Waseem Afzal

You probably took time to shop around to get the best deal on your sim free mobile phone before you ever signed a contract on it. The only problem is that now you have the same pink mobile phone a couple years later. You probably even still are with the very same deal. The good news is that there are probably some better deals available from your company or another phone company.

Negotiating a new deal is a great option when you are almost to the end of a contract. Take a look at where you are spending the most money on your cell phone bill. Then figure out how many minutes you need to have. Consider what sim free phone you would like to have too. Now you are armed with things to help you negotiate.

After almost two years, if you have been a good customer then the cell phone service provider will definitely want to keep you as a customer and they will be willing to make you a deal to get you to sign up again. But you will only get a deal if you ask. They don't just give away new pink mobile phones unless they have to.

You have already done the required research so you know what you want. You now need to find what the company can offer to you. Don't go to a local store. It is best to negotiate on the telephone with the customer service people. If they don't agree with what you want, then you only have to get off the phone. When you go to a local store, it is much harder to just leave the store when you have that nice phone sitting there in your hand.

Once you make the call, make it clear that you have been looking at what other companies can offer you and their plans and phones. Then ask the company if they can beat other offers. Just remember if you don't ask, they won't offer anything to you.

So if you want a new sim free mobile, make sure they understand that, that is what it is going to take to make you sign again. Also review the available plans available and pick the best one for you. Then you may want to see if they will add some extra minutes or extra texts to the plan for no extra cost.

It is very likely that they will agree to this if they really think that you are going to leave. Make sure you take advantage of this opportunity to renegotiate because you wont get the chance again for two more years.

It is also important to remember that you need to plan your negotiations for right at the end of your contract. At any other time it would cost you a large fee to cancel your service, so they will know that you are not serious about cancelling and will not be willing to deal with you. Good luck and get the best deal you can. - 16890
