Is Your Mobile Phone too Complicated?

By Waseem Afzal

Do you remember when all you could do with a phone was make a call? Mobile phones have come a long way since then. With the newest sim free mobile phones you can text, chat, send photos and surf the web. You can also get help to navigate with GPS and stream live TV shows.

The newest hot pink mobile phone is really cutting edge. It includes technology that is rapidly advanced. In fact, many users will actually find that this phone is too complicated for them to deal with. Better than half of phone users said in a survey that the found their phone to be hard to use and that there were features that they didn't even use. Most people would be happy with a phone that only offer voice as well as texting.

There are customers from both ends of the age range when it comes to the sim free mobile phone market. It used to be that working adults were the core customer base for most companies. Today more and more kids are getting cell phones of their own and they always want to have the very best technology on their cell phones.

The new technology gets all the media attention as the smart phone market is where all the new technology is appearing. This is what companies want to sell because they make more money off the more expensive phones. And the carriers make more profit from hip young users who use email and the internet on their pink mobile phone than they do from older less technologically advanced users who just want to talk.

Of course phone companies shouldn't ignore the older market, since it is really starting to grow. Many older people are purchasing cell phones. As the population grows older, the percentage of those that are older is growing, meaning they are a big market today. So if a sim free mobile phone is too difficult to use or has features that make it hard to deal with, companies can lose customers over this.

There is never going to be one phone that works out for every single user. While companies are definitely going to continue to focus on having new technology and features to put in their sim free mobile phones, they also have to remember the older lady who may want a simple hot pink mobile phone that she can use to make calls.

There are phones out there that re more simple. You just have to get phone companies to keep them available with all the new phones out there. Carriers also have to be able to offer service to customers so it is fair to all of their different users.

A person who just wants to talk on their phone will not want to pay the amount that someone does who surfs the web by phone and they shouldn't have to. There are various packages and plans that can offer only a few features so that every user can find the perfect plan. - 16890
