My current residence is along the Australian Gold Coast, situated in a town named Mermaid Beach. It is similar to a large country town, where the days are sunny and life is generally pleasant. It's not that big of a place where a person will lose sense of reality and appreciation for life's details, nor is it so small that one must go without the amenities of living within a population center.
At the moment we are expecting a baby, which has been a surprise, albeit one that has brought us even closer to one another. Sitting there at home observing my pregnant partner snooze on the couch, I was all of a sudden overcome by gratitude, a feeling that I am so lucky to be living the life I have created for myself. I no longer have to commute to work: I get to spend my days at home thanks to the internet business I run.
I get up when my body tells me its time and go for a surf in the ocean, which is a 2 minute walk from my front door. Then, when I've had enough (usually when my arms can take no more paddling) I'll go and buy a latte from the cafe up the road, come home and spend an hour or two on my websites, writing articles like this one, to make the websites work a little better each day. This guarantees that tomorrow I still won't have to go to the office.
Later, at more or less the time I eat my lunch, the postman tends to pop by. This is without a doubt my favorite moment of each and every day, as the postman is constantly bringing me the checks that make what I do a viable and profitable endeavor, how lucky indeed!
And I know why I am lucky too. Its because I learned the skills required to sell products and services on the internet. Goodness knows I can't sell in the physical world, I don't have thick enough skin for the constant rejection. But I can sell on the internet.
The most fundamental reason for my ability to become successful in this kind of work is the fact that I studied and came to acquire the techniques and skills needed for robust internet marketing, the ability to turn a website into a veritable cash machine. I settled for nothing short of the best when choosing where to learn and thanks to that I never fail to seize opportunities to grow and become better. Ultimately, complacency needs to be completely alien to the world of internet marketing!
In light of everything, it is so hard for me to comprehend how so many folks complain about their jobs or careers and yet still they do practically nothing at all to change course, to work on something they're passionate about. All it takes to do so is good planning, a lot of commitment, and the resoluteness to see things through. Oh, I think I finally know why, it's just as Thomas Edison phrased it:
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - 16890
